Regina Guest Spot FAQ
Thank you so much for booking in with me for my Regina Guest spot! Please read everything below, and then reply to the email that I've sent you confirming that you are ready to go!
Where to go
I will be working at Blacksmith Tattoo art studio. The address is 1817 Halifax street. Please be conscious of parking rules if you are driving. The shop is fairly close to downtown if you are biking / taking transit.
WAIVER (fill out before you arrive please)!
How to prepare
Make sure you are well-rested, well-hydrated and have recently eaten a substantial meal before being tattooed. Note that I cannot tattoo over a sunburn or a new injury! Wear comfortable clothing that makes sense for the tattoo placement (no skinny jeans if you're getting a thigh piece, for example). Bring a water bottle and a small snack if you are getting a larger piece, for your break. If you are feeling unwell in any way, please reach out to me to reschedule your appointment.
What to do when you arrive
Arrive on time- there is no need to be early. As the studio is appointment-only, the door may be locked. Knock / ring the doorbell and I will come let you in. Please wear a mask and sanitize your hands upon entering the studio. Bring only yourself- this is a guest spot and I want to be respectful of the space by not over-crowding it. Thank you for understanding!
What to expect (The process)
Typically, I will have your set up complete, and your drawing all ready, printed out and sized when you arrive. So, we will basically be ready to go! You will get to take a look at your drawing and we will discuss if you are happy with all of the details, and we will determine placement and colors, if applicable. We will apply the stencil, and then tattoo the design. Once we are done, I will take photos, wrap you up and give you aftercare information. I will send a follow-up email in the evening, once I am done tattoo, which includes all of the after-care information written down for you, as well as some photos. This guest spot will be very busy for me- so I greatly appreciate your understanding if I end up running a little behind for your session.
On redraws and edits for this guest spot
It is always my #1 priority that you are completely happy with your tattoo and your tattoo experience! As such, I am always willing to make small changes to your design, if requested, and if we agree that they will improve the design. Unfortunately, this is a little more difficult to do during a busy guest spot, as I will have limited time and a lot of appointments to manage. If you see your design and are unsure about it, or would like a substantial redraw- I will be happy to let you think about it and/or edit the design, but will likely have to reschedule you for a future time. I really appreciate your understanding, and that my main priority is that you and my other clients all be happy with their tattoos.
I accept cash and debit for payment, and I do not accept credit cards.
Rescheduling / Cancelling
If you need to reschedule your appointment, please let me know as soon as possible. If you give me 48 hours notice, your deposit will be saved for a future session. If you no-show me or give less than 48 hours notice, your deposit will be forfeit you will need to pay a new deposit in order to rebook. All deposits are non-refundable.
Accessibility and sensory adjustments
If you require any accessibility or sensory adjustments to make your session comfortable, please reach out to me beforehand and I will try my best to prepare the space and experience to make you feel at ease. If the adjustment isn't possible in the space, we can consider rebooking for a future private studio session.
Questions / Concerns
If you have ANY questions or concerns, please reach out to me and I will get back to you right away. It's my #1 priority that your tattoo experience be comfortable and fun, so please let me know if you have any questions or concerns.
